Labor Law Issue: Alert - Mandatory Poster Change

November 12, 2009

EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 21, 2009

On May 21, 2008 the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination ACT (GINA) was signed by the President. The law requires an employer to post notices describing the Federal laws prohibiting job discrimination based on race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, equal pay, disability and genetic information.

On November 21, 2009 Employers must begin to comply with GINA and must change their EEOC notice in the Employment Notices.
