Piner’s Napa Ambulance Service began in 1946, with Wendell and Fern Piner filling a need for emergency medical services for the people of Napa. This local family company was the only one servicing Napa’s 911 calls for 65 years. Although Piner’s is no longer the EMS provider for Napa, this company, with a motivation to continue its success in serving the community, has started on a new path of providing non-emergency medical transportation services.
Medical transports are an affordable alternative to costly ambulance rides in a non-emergency situation. Piner’s staffs each ambulance with two friendly, licensed EMT’s who make it a point to show up on time and treat each client with compassion. The Piner family recognizes the tough economic challenges facing many Napa families, and is proud to offer safe and comfortable, yet a high-tech alternative to an emergency ride at about half the cost.
