CALL FOR ENTRIES
Great Wine Capitals Regional 2013 Best
Of Wine Tourism Awards
We are pleased to announce the
launch of the San Francisco – Napa Valley regional segment of the Great Wine
Capitals 2013 Best of Wine Tourism Awards. The Best Of Awards celebrate
innovation and excellence in wine tourism throughout the nine greatest wine regions
in the world. At this time, we invite all wine tourism businesses located in
San Francisco & Napa Valley to participate. Entries are accepted until
August 31, 2012 at www.winecapitals.com in seven categories:
- Accommodations
- Wine Tourism Restaurants
- Architecture & Landscapes*
- Art & Culture*
- Innovative Wine Tourism Experiences*
- Wine Tourism Services
- Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices*
* Open to wineries only.
This program provides an opportunity for wineries and other visitor-serving
businesses in each region to gain exposure on a local and international level
for their commitment to excellence in delivering quality experiences to
visitors.
A local jury of peers will review all entries and select winners according to
the quality of services and facilities offered, the quality and originality of
the tourism offer, and the degree of commitment to developing global wine
tourism. Regional winners will be recognized at a local awards ceremony in
October, in PR outreach, and be entered to compete for the international awards
determined at the Great Wine Capital’s Annual General Meeting, held this year
in Florence, Italy, in November.
International winners will be included in a global Best Of Wine Tourism
brochure published by the Great Wine Capitals along with global advertisements
and press promotions through various media outlets.
